Sunburn Blush Trend

How To Recreate The Viral Sunburn Blush Trend

Sunkissed skin minus the sun damage

Blush is the one makeup product I never leave home without. Whether I’m heading out for a brunch date with my girls or visiting a nearby grocery store to pick up essentials – I always dab some blush on my cheeks before stepping out of the door. This unsung makeup hero completely transforms the complexion from drab to fab in seconds and adds life back to the cheeks like no other.

Well it looks like I’m not the only one obsessed with this beauty staple. Celebrities and beauty influencers have been raving on social media about the sunburn blush trend that gives you the rosy glow of your dreams – minus the need to tan under the harmful sun rays (which BTW speeds up the skin’s aging process and leaves you with nasty dark spots). If you, like me, are a lover of rosy cheeks, you need to hop onto the sunburn makeup trend bandwagon asap. Scroll down to learn how!

What Is The Viral Sunburn Blush Trend And How To Recreate It

As the name suggests, the sunburn blush trend is basically all about using blush (duh) to give your cheeks the illusion of being sunburnt. You know, the color your cheeks turn when you’ve spent too much time in the sun (without sunscreen) or after an intense workout, or when your office crush catches you staring at them. Yes - that. And surprisingly, the sunburn makeup trend doesn’t require any makeup mastery because it’s super easy to achieve.

All you got to do is use a pigmented blush (pigmented being the keyword here) of your choice and blend away. Cream blush is usually preferred for this technique since it gives a more natural finish and is easy to fix in case there’s a goof-up. Take your cream blush and dot it on the apples of your cheeks and on the bridge of your nose. Then, using a fluffy blush brush or your clean fingers, gently blend the product till you’ve achieved the desired effect. Start with a light wash of color and build the intensity up as needed. If you’ve overdone the blush, you can simply take some foundation on your beauty sponge, and blend the product over the blush for a seamless look. Easy-peasy, isn’t it?

Try it out and fake that sun-kissed glow without the sun damage.
